SST, One Course at a Time

Course Description

GLST 271: Community Engaged Learning, Perspectives in Global Health (3 cr)

This on-campus practicum introduces students to current and emerging issues in global public health, and the critical links between public health and social and economic development. Case studies and applied practice evaluations in the course will work directly with local and global partners doing real-world global health work. Students will engage with a local agency that works with immigrants, refugees, and/or low-income populations to learn about how health can be impacted from a wide variety of organizations.

For additional on campus SST courses, see documents under schedule. This course is listed with the travel course because it is representing the Global Public Health thread on our site.
